There are 2 ways to get started:
- Private Lessons - Find a time that fits your schedule and receive individualized attention!
- Instructional Videos - Learn the basics through our free online videos straight from your home. This is a lot more challenging way to learn, but it's the next best thing if you cannot make it to a class. Our video series is also the most used in the world.
Q: Do I need to bring a partner?
A: No, definitely not! You are more than welcome to bring a friend, but on average 70% of people come solo to class.
Q: What do I need to wear/bring?
A: Wear athletic clothing and a hair tie if applicable. Class is done barefoot so athletic shoes are not necessary. Bring a yoga mat if you have one, if not, we have plenty of extras! (A water bottle may also be a good idea, but we have a water fountain at most locations).
Q: Do I need to have experience? I've never tried acroyoga before!
A: No, we love beginners! For the beginner's classes and all drop-in acroyoga classes it is more than okay to show up without ever having tried acroyoga before. The only classes that require experience are our Intermediate classes (see below for pre reqs).
Q: I've never done yoga and/or I'm not flexible! Will I still be able to learn acroyoga?
A: Yes, for sure! Acroyoga is a great way to become more flexible and there is no acroyoga, yoga, or fitness experience required in order to get started :).
Q: What are the pre-reqs for the Intermediate class?
A: Prerequisite skills (both ability & terminology) are warmly enforced. We will go well beyond the following, so make sure you have them down. 10 seconds each: Bow, Candlestick, back-bend, bat, straddle-bat, & folded-leaf.
